Animation style is a fingerprint
Line weight, palette, eye design, background painting technique and frame rate vary enormously between studios and decades. The model reads those cues, which is why it can often place a cartoon within a few years even before it names the specific title. A thick black outline and flat cel colours point one way; soft digital gradients, painted watercolour backgrounds or the rubbery squash-and-stretch of a particular studio point another.
How to get the most accurate cartoon match
Pick a frame where a main character is clearly visible and facing the camera — supporting characters and empty backgrounds are much harder. If the show has a title card, logo, end credits or any readable sign in the scene, include it. Avoid heavily cropped meme versions when you can find the original frame, and upload two or three screenshots from different scenes if your first result comes back with low confidence.
Western animation, anime and CGI
