Upload one or more screenshots from a movie, TV series, anime, or drama and our AI will identify it within seconds.
Upload a screenshot and the AI will identify the series confidently in most cases. It names the specific season and episode only when the frame contains clear evidence — an on-screen title card, a distinctive one-off scene, a guest star or a unique location — rather than guessing when it doesn't.
How episode identification works
The same vision AI that powers our movie identifier reads the frame: faces, wardrobe, set dressing, on-screen text, colour grade and typography. For television it then weighs episode-level clues — a hairstyle that changed between seasons, a guest actor, a location used once — and reports a season and episode only when those clues are strong enough. When they aren't, it tells you the show and says so honestly.
When the exact episode can — and can't — be found
Some frames are unmistakable: a bottle episode in an unusual setting, a title card, a holiday special, a character in a costume worn once. Others — two leads talking on the standing set — look nearly identical across dozens of episodes, and no tool can honestly pin those down. In that case you get the show, the likely season range and the reasoning, never a fabricated episode number.
What you get with every result
The series title and confidence score, the season and episode when evidence supports them, a plain-English explanation of the clues used, the main cast, aggregated ratings from IMDb, TMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, and where to stream the show in your region.
Frequently asked questions
Can this tell me the exact episode?
+
Sometimes. Episode-level identification works when the frame contains clear evidence — a title card, a distinctive one-off scene, a guest star or a unique location. Without that evidence the tool identifies the show and explains why it stopped there, instead of guessing.
Why does it only identify the show sometimes and not the episode?
+
Many scenes look alike across a whole series — the same sets, the same costumes, the same lighting. When a frame could belong to dozens of episodes, naming one would be a guess, so the AI reports the show and its confidence honestly.
What makes an episode easier to identify?
+
On-screen text or title cards, one-off locations, guest stars, distinctive costumes or props, and unusual events like flashbacks or holiday episodes. Uploading several frames from different moments in the scene gives the AI more evidence to work with.
